Reeve Schragger

Curtin University is surrounded by tall Maritime pine trees (Pinus pinaster) where flocks of cockatoos roamed. We students were warned to be careful eating in the shade of these trees as you were likely to have a pine cone dropped on your head.
These birds always worked in flocks for obvious reasons of social interaction, safety and effectiveness.
